Ever feel frustrated when working on a design for your brand? You have all the elements..but they just arenβt quite coming together how you planned and everything is kind ofβ¦.screaming?? Look no further, because weβre here to help you utilize one of the biggest design principles: hierarchy. πΊ
π What is Hierarchy?
An important part in design because it helps you design with purpose. Choosing how you want the audience to receive, read, and remember the information youβre telling them. This creates direction for not only your posts, but can help you determine messaging in a much easier and quick way.

π§±Β How do I apply it?
Start with this basic rule: the bigger the text, the bigger the importanceβwhich means if everything is the same size you think every single line is of equal importance. Itβs not. A consumer wonβt see it that wayβso choose what you want them to remember about the post, and be precise. Make the most important message your #1 biggest item [ex: weβre having a sale!], labeling the secondary message you want customers to remember #2 [ex: the dates are] making it the second biggest item (and so on and so forth for each piece) [ex: #3 amount off or products in sale].
πΒ Where is it useful?
This is useful on text based posts. Think of items like flyers, signs, menus, social media campaigns or anywhere that has more than one line of textβ¦ Chances are, you can apply it most places and improve your brandβs visuals without rethinking your entire brand or visual presence.
