TikTok seems to create language trends faster and more quickly than slang has ever happened before. 🤯 That can make it hard to keep up, especially if you’re running your social media on top of running your business.
Here’s a cheat sheet for you on what 3 different TikTok phrases mean so you can do less research and more creating 👇:

👯♀️ “Mama a girl behind you” This phrase can be said in surprising, weird or silly situations!
Examples of where this works: a video of someone where there’s something in the background they don’t know about, or when something unexpected happens (especially if it doesn’t affect the main storyline of the video, or adds to it in someway).. like, someone sitting on a beach and a seagull takes the sandwich they were showing to the camera “mama a bird behind you” could be the caption or a comment. 🐦

🤭 “Demure, cutesy, I don’t do too much” This phrase can be said ironically when you are doing to much, or you’re doing something in an overly fancy way. (pinkies out 😉)
Examples of where this works: a video of someone doing something silly or overly fancy… ordering a lot of chicken nuggets at a drive-thru and saying “see how I eat these 40 nuggets, very demure very mindful” OR someone at a fancy restaurant that they may not typically go to saying “see how I eat my steak at RestaurantX? very demure.” —you can also go the opposite way and say “see how they tried to eat my chicken nuggets? Examples of where this works: When someone does something really cool, “positive aura points” OR when someone does something not very cool, or kind of embarrassing, “negative aura points”. Making a typo? Negative aura points. Winning a gold medal? Positive aura points.
