Making Your Content More Efficient 🧮
Social Media shouldn't rule your time but your brand's social media should rule!

Social media is a time-suck. There’s no way around it. It’s the new way to advertise, but not without the time that’s always been put into advertising. So here are a few tips to help you manage your brand’s social media more efficiently:
🗓 Batch + Schedule
Even if you don’t schedule things to post–you can schedule them in your own content calendar using something like Google Sheets or Notion. Both give you flexible options for categories and ways to view so that you never question what to post again. If you want to schedule and save yourself time and documents–check out Later, or Monday.com. If you’re running multiple brands Loomly outshines every other platform like it!
⏮ Have a Backup
Having a backup will save you time in the event the website or computer loses your progress. Try Google Drive, Dropbox or your preferred cloud-site and keep track of it on a sheet in Notion so you can find everything when you need it. If you don’t have automatic backups, remember to back things up every few days manually.
🧦 Plan Your Content Days
Plan days into your calendar alongside meetings and other work things so that you can get a wealth of content. If you can plan a whole day or a few half days into your calendar you’ll be thinking more about what you want to promote and everything will feel less chaotic or rushed. If you can film while you’re working on-site or on products it will all add up into having a wealth of content to choose from. Even 5 second clips or time-lapses! Just stay true to your brand’s guidelines.
🏦 Archive Content
If the content didn’t perform as expected, archive it and reuse the content when you need it. Pulling those lesser performing videos can help take out any uncertainty the algorithm has about you and can potentially help your page to get more activity. As well as building a bank of content for when inevitably a content day is missed (everybody makes mistakes! everybody has those days! 🕺).
🚧 Limit Your Hashtags
Hashtags are great when used correctly, but if you’re adding any hashtag you can think of and stuck around 200-500 views that’s probably why. Try this hashtag strategy:
#category what category does the content fall under? ex: #art #leadershiptraining #personalfitness (this probably will stay the same from post to post.)
#location try to use one locally known in your city or area. ex: #keepaustinweird (this will likely stay the same from post to post.)
#detail what sets this apart from the other work like it? Choose a specific detail that has some other posts in the hashtag. ex; #beadwork #advice, etc.
Don’t add anymore than 5 hashtags. If you add more than the 3 above avoid adding anything to cancel out your category or location (i.e. don’t tag Seattle and Washington, just one or the other). The less and more specific the grouping of hashtags, the better.
