Social Media: Your Virtual Closet ππ©²π§¦π©³ π π ππ ππ π
How to plan social media like you'd plan outfits π
π€ Having a planned outfit is better than winging it (most days). Why shouldnβt your social media be the same?

Anyone who has been to any event in which they had to plan ahead forβeven dumb, matching family vacation shirtsβknows prepping the wardrobe is essential. If you think of the posts people see on your profile as equivalent to the clothes theyβd see on you in person, then itβs easy to see the importance of planning.
What youβre creating is a βclosetβ of images for people to dig through much as Cher looked at her options in βCluelessβ. Most people will probably remember you more for these images than what theyβd see in person, both because of the reach social media hasβa lot of people may never see you in personβand also because of the repeatability of your profile content. Thatβs why putting your best, planned, foot forward is key on social media!
π€© Showing Off Your Style
In the same way clothes give off a vibe, so does your social media! Thatβs not to say it has to be perfectly curated but putting out something that reflects your brand is important. You can think of your branding as your styleβwhile you might βbranch outβ and try something, you probably wonβt change your whole look over that one trend you saw at H&M.
Branding + clothes are the exact same way. You can try on trendsβbut ultimately sticking with who you are is easier, and more comfortable in the long run.
πββοΈ Parts of a Post: if it were an outfit
Letβs take this a step further.. If your posts were an outfit what would the part-for-part equivalents be?
πππ Shirt: Visual (photo, reel, tiktok, etc.)
People see your shirt way more than they see any other part of your outfit. A graphic tee, a button up, a crop topβthey all send a different message, just like different image and content styles do.
π Bottoms: Caption
The next thing theyβll see is the captionβor the bottoms. This gives context to the things above while still adding personality.
𧦠Undergarments + Socks: Hashtags, Location & Timing
The things theyβre likely to either not see or ignoreβsmall details like hashtags, location, and timing. These things all matter in the grand scheme of things!
π Shoes + Accessories: Audio, Tags, etc.
The little things that make your unique details stand out! Think trending things like audio and tags (similar to how sometimes silver jewelry is in and sometimes gold jewelry is in).

Once you start thinking about content less as 1-time-use, disposable pieces and more like a closet of things to be put together and recreated, youβll start finding freedom in your social media content creation journey!

It all seemed so easyβ¦.until something changed!! π₯΄ Wellβdonβt make change your enemy when it comes to socialβembrace it:
𧨠Spontaneous Changes
There are some days you wake up and what you plannedβwell, you arenβt feeling it. Thatβs okayβstore that away, just as you would an outfit youβll save for laterβand create something with what you already have. You might even like a part of the outfit but think that another part needs updating. Go for it!!
π Weather Changes
Sometimes the weather forces us to change our outfit plans because suede doesnβt go with rain, and heels donβt go with mudβthe same can be said for social media. If you have an unexpected event, emergency or changeβdonβt be afraid to change up your plan to reflect and push your planned post to another day!
