The One Question That Should Guide Your Brand Voice 🧐
On being yourself on the internet OR the authentic experience 💡🤳

The best social media strategy?? Authenticity!!
People can tell when you're not being yourself, and that's why your content isn't connecting.
When your voice sounds different, the words you’re saying are too planned (or cheesy 🧀) or you lack consistency in how you show up, people can feel that through the screen..and it feels…cringey. 😬
Instead, skip that part next time. Try this simple strategy: read it out loud and think "would I actually say this?"
..and that's it. That's the whole strategy.
You can even say it out loud to yourself and see if it feels right.
Pro-tip: if you’re developing a voice consider speech to text features, and finessing from there.
Either way, that one question can help guide your whole brand.
If your brand is based around your voice, and you wouldn’t say it..then it’s not on brand! If your brand voice is defined, and it wouldn’t say that…then don’t post it!
Authenticity is always on brand and it should be the leader of your brand voice.
It’s why #weirdlinkedin is thriving, and why people go viral on TikTok. There’s no difference, except the people. :)
Authenticity is the social media secret sauce for a real online community so don’t forget to mix it in next time by asking “Would I actually say this?”. 🥫
