We Don’t Do Silly Little Holidays 💅
Why You’re Better Off NOT Celebrating the Random Holiday on social! 🗓️
There’s been a trend in social media over the last 10 or so years where every single minor national holiday is celebrated, and theBlogStack thinks you should stop. 🔊
It was fun at first but now these “national holiday” posts are usually “filler posts” or posts you make to just take up space on the feed 😖…but they don’t offer anything of value to your customer. They can be silly, and even a little funny, but people are over celebrating little silly holidays, unless it’s donuts in which case please carry on thank you. 🍩
Unless your brand is celebrating donut day by selling discounted donuts, it’s better to make a post with some value. 🤑 Consider the following ideas to create posts that with higher engagement for your brand:
🎬 Behind-the-scenes content: give followers a look into your brand and how it operates.
Share a day in the life of an employee or team member.
Celebrate milestones or achievements of your brand.
Highlight your community involvement or charity work.
📰 Updates: on products or services.
Post information about upcoming sales or promotions.
🕹️ Interactive Content: engage with your audience face-to-face.
Live Q&A’s can help customers engage with your audience. Answer their questions as they come in.
Post polls or quizzes (this or that, product or company trivia, etc.) to encourage engagement as well as keep a finger on the pulse of your audience’s interests.
📚 Educational content: show that you know what you’re talking about.
Share tips or advice related to your industry.
🎁 Contests or giveaways: to engage your followers and increase your reach.
Partner with influencers in your field for takeovers or collaborations.
Share user-generated content to show appreciation to your customers.
