Content Spontaneity & Your Brand 🗯
Don't allow content to rule your calendar–rule your calendar's content 💪
There is power in spontaneity, but it will also send your social media manager into a tailspin if you're constantly sending spontaneous content!
There are systems you can employ that allow you to use that great spontaneous content and allow you to keep your grip on your social media plan. 🤸 Here's how to create spontaneous content without working against yourself:
👀 look at the calendar at least a month in advance and make sure you plan those posts out now so later you can just add the media
🔔 be aware of any potential events, sales or other things that could come up that month and have a graphic or caption ready if you can
👄 communicate when the content is deviating from the plan or when you want to see more or less of something
📧 be specific about when you need the post to happen and be realistic about when it can happen
If you truly need multiple spontaneous posts per week, or month, try this:
📆 Assign each day of the week (or month) a category
🧩 Arrange your planned and spontaneous content so they fit within the category of the day (for example: Wednesday is for volunteer experiences and Friday is for talking about events)
🧈 This helps spread your content over a longer period and work harder for you

🎥 Film or take the photos as close to the real thing as you possibly can; this can prevent unwanted mistakes and save time on edits!
🌲 Create evergreen content that you can move to later or to fill the spot of a post that needs to be pushed to later. This way you always have something planned–even when your plans don’t go the way you expected!
Every social media plan is different, so if yours isn't customized to you..then what's the point?? Your social media should reflect what you want it too–while also being strategic. 👏 again for the people in the back 👏 WHILE ALSO BEING STRATEGIC is the key phrase–don't allow content to rule your calendar–rule your calendar's content by using spontaneous content as part of your plan.
