Content Spontaneity & Your Brand Pt 2 🗯
Spontaneously…Planned. 👀 Social Media’s most common oxymoron 😅
What is Spontaneous Content?
Spontaneous content refers to content that is created in the moment 🎉 as a reaction to events or news. It offers a high level of authenticity and allows you to take advantage of the hype surrounding current happenings. 🗞 However, it also presents difficulties in terms of controlling the structure and strategy of your social media. For brands targeting a young audience, spontaneous content can be particularly effective because younger generations are typically on or ahead of trends. 😎
If your brand focuses on news, or events, such as photographers, venues, or public event spaces, and more, spontaneous content can be a great fit. It allows you to keep people updated on the latest happenings and generate excitement. 🤩
Spontaneous content can be effectively utilized for sales pages featuring unique and one-of-a-kind items. 💎 By embracing spontaneous content, brands can leverage the element of surprise and create a sense of urgency and exclusivity. This approach allows you to capture the attention of your target audience, particularly younger gens. ⚡️ Additionally, spontaneous content enables brands to keep people updated on the latest happenings and generate excitement, making it a suitable choice for brands focused on news, events, and public spaces. By incorporating strategic planning and staying tuned to trending topics, brands can maximize the impact of spontaneous content while maintaining a youthful, engaging and consistent voice that resonates with their audiences. 💃
The optimal post time !
Social media is obviously…social 💁♀️ therefore different audiences have different post time requirements based on your audience. 💡
When it comes to posting on social media, there isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. It's important to consider your specific audience and their preferences. If you're unsure, check your analytics and when your followers are most active. This will help you determine the ideal posting time for your brand. If you're just starting out, follow accounts you admire and connect with, and research your own followers to get an idea of when your "social network" is online and when it's best to post.

Make the most of spontaneous content! 👀 Have strategies in place that keep you organized, paced and, most importantly, your team sane. Easily stay on top of trending topics and react quickly by using these tactics for planning ahead:
📆 Use a month or larger view calendar (see pt 1)
🗺 Map out your year as much as you can, that way you can plan without surprising your team on the spontaneous content (see pt 1)
🔎 Identifying potential events or news that align with your brand and prepare content ideas in advance (ex; if you cover the election and it’s an election year, yearly galas, etc.)
📂 Create categories for types of content you post, so you can easily determine your goal and post the content. (see pt 1)
📊 Poll your audience where they talk to you most (stories, emails, comments etc.)
🔖 Keep tabs on your analytics to see what’s working and what isn’t, check them often but pivot with caution–use patience
