Take a Break: Why Breaks are Important! ๐ฎโ๐จ
Not just physical breaks, but also social media breaksโand yes that includes for brands! ๐ณ Work Flows Series ๐
TLDR: You donโt know what to post, when to post it, or if its successful why people liked it. That means you need to take a break and reevaluate your social media plan.
Social media marketing is headed in a more community-based, authentic direction so what brands are expected to post is rapidly changing. ๐๏ธ
People are tired of disingenuous posts and self serving performative actions. They want to see what youโre really made of. That means not posting every holiday just to post. That also means taking breaks with intention! ๐ง
If you feel like youโre throwing pieces of spaghetti at a wall, waiting for them to give you a sign, when you post on social media you could probably use a break.
If youโre feeling burnt out when youโre coming up with content you could probably use a break.
If you donโt have a marketing calendar, you could probably use a break.
Maybe we should say reset. ๐
WellโWhat am I supposed to do? How will I be seen if I donโt post?? ๐ฐ
Your brand needs to take a break from postingโbut use that time well. Use these tips to take a social media break and figure your social media content out:
๐ Find your most popular posts, put them together and figure out what they have in common, what people liked about them. Find your least popular posts and do the same.
๐ Create an overall plan for what criteria you need, and donโt need, based on your popular/least popular posts analysis.
๐ Look at where and what your competitors are posting, and whether its successful or not.
๐ Consider a visual shake up that utilizes your brand elements in a different way. Perhaps different photo stylings, uses of color, or more/less text.
These small changes can make a big difference in the overall look and feel of your brandโs social media, which plays a part in what people think about your brand overall. This will also help guide your social media journey, making it more obvious what to post, and less like youโre throwing spaghetti at a wall. As you become more authentic posting will get easier and easier. Once you get organized youโll be able to start to post content you never couldโve imagined when you started. ๐คฉ
