The news comes at us fast and hard in 2025—that means its important to stay up-to-date and informed. It’s also equally important to keep from being burnt out as we encounter Shock Doctrine tactics. These days to get all the facts, you have to diversify your sources. 🗞️🚨

Checking the news is important right now no matter where you are in the world. As people share their stories, hearing people from freedom movements directly is one small way you can start to figure out how you can help. There are ongoing genocides in Palestine, Sudan and the Congo. In addition to that, the US is descending into fascism and copycat broligarchies are trying to form. It can be hard to keep up when you’re constantly being hit with new information, so here are a 3 tactics for staying caught up via multiple news sources:

⏰ Set A Time: Check the news every day at a specific time and dedicate 30 min-1 hour to get caught up on local, national and international news.

🔁 Have a Rotation: Aim for as many news sources as you can, but on those days you just can’t handle it, have some trusty go-to news sources that will give you the most pertinent information.

➗ Divide Your Day: Spend a little time in the morning and a little time in the evening (or whatever combination of times works for you) catching up, rather than finding out everything at once.

Never forget, if you’re feeling really burnt out it’s okay to take a day off.
